The expensive part of an Umrah planning mistake usually happens before the journey even begins.
A flight gets booked first.
A hotel follows.
Then someone checks the visa requirements.
For anyone planning an Umrah visa from Qatar, I would reverse that sequence.
Start with eligibility.
Before committing to your travel dates from Doha, confirm:
• Which Saudi entry or Umrah visa route applies to your passport
• Whether that option is currently available to you
• What needs to be completed through Nusuk
• Which accommodation and transportation arrangements suit your route
• What permit or booking requirements apply before performing Umrah
Saudi Arabia has continued expanding its digital Umrah ecosystem through Nusuk, and the introduction of a multiple-entry Umrah visa in 2026 has created more flexibility for eligible pilgrims.
But more options also mean travellers need to identify the right option, rather than assume one process applies to everyone living in Qatar.
The safer planning sequence is simple:
Eligibility → Visa → Nusuk → Accommodation → Transport → Flights → Final travel checks
We have explained the current process in our Qatar-focused guide:

If you are travelling from Doha, check your individual requirements before making non-refundable bookings.
